Creepy-looking guys hanging creepy looking signs -- without any kind of permission? I'm not surprised. But it would have been cool if someone had logged onto a computer and Googled.

Would you have preferred they ignored the stupidity of the people who were responsible? Thank god someone noticed. Do you know the amount money the taxpayer wasted in public funds to have experts come in and debug the "toy?" Not to mention wasting their time and scant resources. Pranks like this are not fun at all in the adult world. Only in the video-game dream world of adolescents.

If every bomb out there looked like a bomb then it'd be simple . But as we all know it's not. Vietnam children would walk up to G.I.s with a hand grenade attatched to them. they have paper bombs- looks like a letter not a bomb. they have pens that explode - looks like a pen not a bomb. So you could easily take the guts out of a simple light bright and replace with explosives. And if they all don't blow up or aren't a bomb, what if there is just 1 of them that is? All that so called over reacting would have payed off.

A lite-brite is not the same thing as a bomb. Some people are over-sensitized from too much media fear-mongering. Boston is paranoid.

Yeah they overreacted. It was basically the same thing as some one wearing an ATHF shirt.

It sure looks that way to me. In fact, it seems surreally ridiculous. I cannot imagine that kind of reaction in NYC, but who knows...maybe we are more paranoid than we think.
