Well, to be perfectly honest, you should know. The only reason you asked this question is for somebody to come along, say ,"I agree completely", and you'll go along smiling. But the truth is the only reason you ask these questions, is to bolster your self-reassurance. In psycho-analytic terms, you, like others, have unperscribed paranoia, which, makes you need others to tell you your right. Your outlet is this sight, when it should be a psychiatrist.

They want to be understood and accepted... they also like to know that someone shares the same opinion.. them asking questions help them lay their opinions on other people and either persuade them or just annoy them.sometimes they like to be sure of themselves and don't like anyone getting in their way.I personally like this question and am glad it was brought up.

I fully agree with you. I had someone email me once because she didin't like the way I answered her question. We went back and forth for nearly an hour. Finally I told her to get a life and to stop emailing me.

People need social confirmation of their opinions. It makes people feel okay about what they believe in so they are fishing for the right answer which matches their opinion.

Because they feel insecure about themselves and interpret you agreeing with them as affirming their esteem, value, and worth. They usually don't have the courage to just come out and say, "Am I important?"

Yeah, sometimes it's good to hear someone else affirm what a person is wondering. But at other times, maybe a person needs to hear something they may not want to hear, but need to. Truth is a hard pill to swallow sometimes, but at times it's good for us.

I KNOW! people think if you ask a question about something you are either ALL for it or ALL against what you are asking and when in reality you are just curious what other people's opinions are.
They get all defensive and crying and sh*t. its pathetic.

Kind of like what you just did here. Not that I don't understand, but you are now guilty of the same thing.
