Paganism is not magic and being a derivation of Paganism, Wicca is also not magic. But don't let this lead you to assume that magic does not exist. It does! If you believe you can fly, you can fly. Too many people are just incapable of making such a blind leap of faith towards belief.

Its an illusion, used to trick peoples minds into thinking one thing happened but no magic really appeared. He probably distracted your eyes somehow without you knowing or did something that caused you not to pay attention so he was able to do the illusion simulating magic.

The magician is called an illusionist, and it can be done, but it's not as "magical" as it appears. If people could do REAL magic, then why do they just use it to perform silly tricks instead of saving lives or taking over the world?

It's not true magic, it's an illusion. Like Penn & Teller, David Copperfield, etc.; they are illusionists.
