First you must know how many feet are in a mile and seconds in an hour

5280 Ft = 1mile
3600 Seconds = 1 hour

60* miles Now substitute in the different units to get
hour

60*(5280) Feet
(3600) Second

Multiply the top to get :

316800 Feet
3600 Seconds

Finish by diving 316800 by 3600 for:

88 Feet
Second

88 ft/sec
I
t would be 5280 feet per second as there are that many feet in a mile. Speed would be one mile per one minute ratio, so switch miles to feet and hours to minutes. That is the answer if you are looking for feet per minute. Divide this by 60 for number of seconds in a minute. Correct answer is 88 ft/sec.

88ft/sec is what I remember from school.;

Let's find out if this is right.

60 miles/ 1 hour * 5280 ft/ 1mile * 1 hour / 60 minutes * 1 minute / 60 sec = ?

As far as units, miles on the top & bottom cancel each other out. Hours on the top & bottom cancel each other out. Minutes on the top & bottom cancel each other out. This leaves us with feet on top & seconds on bottom or feet/second or feet per second.

Now we'll fool with the numbers. Since we are multiplying & dividing The "1" won't change things, so we'll forget about them. We have 60 * 5280 / 60 * 60. The 60 on top cancels a 60 on bottom so we have 5280/60.

This gives 88. When we use our units it is 88 fet / second or 88 feet per second.

5280 ft in a mile multiplied by 60 miles = 316800
so 316800 feet in an hour / 60 minutes in an hour = 5280
5280 / 60 seconds in a minute = 88

88 ft per second

i grew to become into only giving my opinion, i did not violate something! and that i will provide it lower back, activities is ridiculously puffed up! First you will possibly desire to transform what number feet in a mile which could be 5280 feet. and then, there are 3600 seconds in an hour. so as that would desire to be a cost of 5280 feet consistent with hour, yet you decide on feet consistent with 2d so divide that by 3600 and you got a million.4666.

5280 (ft in a mile) x 60 ( miles)= 316,800 ft.
60 (min. in an hour) x 60 (sec in a min.) = 3,600
316,800/3,600= 88ft per second

Multiply miles by 5,280 to get feet. Then multiply by 60 x 60 to get seconds.

(60 Miles/Hr) *(1/60 Hr/Minute) * (1/60 Minutes/Sec) * (5280 ft/mile) =

(60 * 5280) / (60 * 60) = 5280 / 60 = 88 ft/sec
