Tell me in what order these people go from least important to most important. Please make sure that this is the truth and not a matter of opinion. certified medical assistants, RNs, LPNs, doctors, PAs, certified nursing assistants.

It seems some people having taken offense to my question. I want to thank Biff Stew because he seems to be the only person who took it how I meant it. I am currently a student studying to become a MA and I was just trying to find out how far I had to go to becoming a RN. THAT'S ALL I WAS SAYING!!

Although some PAs make just as much or more money than physicians.

Sure you can say doctors are "most important" because they make the most money, but that would mean that you're ranking the positions from lowest to highest income. you shouldve just that then.

Or, if you mean in the order of prestige, then then you could also put doctors at the top.

But let's not discredit all the ***-busting these other roles take to get those titles. i dont think its an easy (or less-time consuming) to become an RN either.

Lastly, doctors dont see any of that money or prestige until they are YEARS into their career. that includes years of residency, being published in journals, doing post-doc research, and working at the right institutions. plus doctors pay out the wazoo for medical malpractice insurance.

like most careers, there is a range of income to be made. obviously a doctor in plastic/cosmetic surgery in NYC is going to make a lot more than a pediatrician at a free clinic in Muncie, Indiana (i just picked that town because it sounds random and midwestern). the average salary is a lot higher than most professions, but realize that someone who is like the head of all the nurses at the hospital for X many years could make more $ AND have more prestige than the first-year medical intern who is called "doctor" because he passed his boards a few months ago.

Medical Assistants, Nursing Assistants, LPN's, RN's, PA's and Doctors...

MA's work mainly at private clinics, CNA's work at nursing homes or hospitals, LPN's work mostly at clinics, hospitals and nursing homes...RN's about the same...and of course PA's and Doctors enjoy very similar benefits and privileges when it comes to deciding on care plans and treatment options.

Medical Doctor/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Physician's Assistant/Licensed Nurse Practitioner
Registered Nurse
Licensed Practical Nurse
Certified Nursing Assistants/Certified Medical Assistants

There are also many medical professions that are not on your list that fit somewhere in the middle. They are ALL "important" - and the actual duties will vary somewhat from one office to another.

My ranking is based on my experiences working in healthcare, and is based primarily on the level of education and responsibility; from the top to the bottom.

Ok, I know you said no opinions, so im not going to list the order because what I think is that each of those jobs are important, they are all very important, so I'm don't think you can really list the order of importance, because we need all of those in the world, it wouldn't last with just two of those, or one of those, or even three of those, for it to last it needs all of those

She doesn't mean important, but as to the order to which you attain your degrees. Almost to say how they are in order of rank. Cut her some slack.... jeez
