My partner and i broke up 8 weeks ago. He has since met someone else. Why then, does he still have my number in his phone. He sent me a text this weekend.It was just to give me a message. The first thing i did was delete his number, so why does he still have mine!! We split on bad terms. We werent married, didnt have children together and didnt live together. we were together for 2 years!!!

I still have my ex's number - doesn't mean anything. Maybe he is ready to just be friends now.

who knows you don't have any reason to talk to each other no ties so why keep your number i would change my number before you start getting nasty calls in the middle of the night
one thing though who instigated the brake up you or him as that could have a bearing on this if you were the one to call it an end maybe he thinks their is still hope

You have deleted his number but he still has your number on his phone. You will have to either block his number or change yours if it is a mobile, if not ring bt and ask them to block any calls from his number.

If you have been together for two years, he is sure to still remember your number. If you don't wish to have further contact with him - change your number or just don't answer his calls.

I still have a couple of my ex's numbers on my phone, its no big deal we talk and txt back and fore because we are just fiendly to each other.
