Solutes are everything else: sugar, high fructose corn syrup, cola nut extract, flavorings, caramel color, CO2, etc.

Techincally if you are talking about cola that fizzes, I believe it is a colloid because of the dissolved gasses that eventually settle out....
but I'm just trying to remember Chemistry from last year.
