A real environmentalist would never drive an SUV unless it was a hybrid, electric car or ran on some alternative fuel. Sometimes they get picked up at airports and such by other people who drive SUVs, so they don't have a choice.
People who drive gas-guzzling SUVs and claim to be environmentalists are like people who claim to love democracy's freedoms but try to stifle the speech of anyone they don't like.

umm, maybe your question would be a little more valid if you found every environmentalist in the world and then showed me each and every one driving an SUV because I refuse to believe that everyone drives one. Plus, some SUV's now get better mileage than sedans so it's not so simple to assume that they're necessarily driving gas guzzlers

Good question. Why do Hollywood liberals lecture the rest of us about driving SUVs, but think nothing of jumping into a limo and hoping on a private jet to get their nails done for dinner or something equally insane.
I've heard that Larry David's wife Laurie jumps out of her car in traffic to scream at SUV drivers, but always flies a private jet. I'd love for that idiot to scream at me - I'd scream right damned back. Hypocrites!

finally someone with eyes and a brain that work together. they drive SUV's because no one has said anything and called them on it. Good job ,and to romare, yes they do have a choice.they're just to weak to make it Period.
