My daughter needs to make makeup at home for a school project. She was thinking eye shadow. Any ideas how to make this?

For heaven's sake people!!!! Cinnamon on the eyes would have them red and puffed up like a balloon!!! Why don't you try that out before you give the advice!

Some good ingredients to use would be:
Corn starch, it can be used as powder and also a thickener for other ingredients.
Glycerin: is a great emollient can be used for lip gloss
Beet root powder can be mixed with corn starch for blush (and eyeshadow), with glycerin (or glycerin and a little corn starch) for lip gloss.
Kohl pencils are inexpensive at the art supply store (that is what the ancient Egyptians used!!! Some of the first make-up ever)

Those are my best "home" recipes for make-up.

Talc powder with anything colorful from the kitchen works. Cinnamon, or saffron if you can find it.
