Not yet because I work in IT and it is well known to not but a new operating system for at least 6 months if not 12 because it gives Microsoft time to release service packs and fix up the bugs. The price should drop a little in 12 months also because it is way over priced for what it is.

I plan on getting a better computer within the year. Thank you for asking this question and to all who are answering.
Maybe I'll hold off until the bugs are worked out. I am definitely going to get the Vista, but certainly NOT on THIS computer! I'm still running Windows 98 and a memory upgrade wasn't even completely effective on it. I wanted to upgrade to XP awhile ago, and thankfully my brother knew enough to tell me that my computer couldn't handle it.
My brother is a computer genius guy and he says he's heard good things about Vista. Probably not a bad idea to wait til bugs show up and get worked out tho.

I ordered the free Visat home premium that came with my wife's computer since she just got it. But I won't install it for a while.
My computer has more than enough space to accomadate Vista and could just go buy it but again I won't...... for a while.
Why? I have been using Windows since it first came out a long time ago. Everytime you upgrade ther are always issues with the drivers and such as the manufacturers can't keep up or Microsoft hasn't the time to certify them. Through long experience it is better to stay with the version you have for a bit. Then given time and once these things have been worked out then you load it.

I was listening to a radio Q/A show and the expert host recommended that people wait until you buy your next computer to get Vista. You'll then get it as part of the package at no extra cost and you'll know without a doubt that the hardware can handle it. He also interview a person that had been an advance trial user and he said that the differences were very subtle and waiting until all the bugs are ironed out would be best.

Im definetly not, its very good if u have a PC, and it gives u all the features APPLE OSX Tiger, had to offer, but i u dont mind buying a new computer, say an iMac, or a PowerMac G5, then id say no. but if ur gonna stick to pc id say its a very good piece of software despite the price, yet i still hate it for staeling the macintosh desktop look -ugh- w/e get it much better than XP, XP proffessional.

wait a little while until the knots are worked out. I've heard that it takes a lot of processing power and makes older comps slow.

Not me. They recommend 1gb of RAM for this and I just bought this computer. It has 512mb and I'm not upgrading. I also don't like IE7.
