The scale model was drawn using a ratio of 1 cm : 30 m. Using this ratio, and the scale model dimensions in centimeters, what are the actual measurements of the real pyramid. You will use the real measurements, in meters, to answer questions 2–5 below.

What is the length of one side of the square base (s) in meters? 231 m
What is the slant height of the pyramid (l) in meters? 186 m
Find the perimeter of the base of the pyramid in meters. 924 m

Find the lateral area of the pyramid. 2864.4 m^2

Find the area of the base of the pyramid. 1778.7 m^2

Find the surface area of the pyramid. 4643.1 m^2
I'm right or wrong please if any one can tell me showing the work it will be nice thank youuuuuuuuu

3 answers

1. (7.7)*30=231
2. (6.2)*30=186
3. 4*(7.7)*30=924

5. LA=(1/2)(6.2)(7.7)(30) * 4= 2864.4
6. A=(7.7)*(7.7)*30)=1778.7
7. LA+A= 2864.4+1778.7=4643.1

Your solutions to the first 3 questions are proper, yet i have self assurance the solutions to the perfect 3 are incorrect. A. Lateral area of the pyramid: it really is the realm of the 4 triangles that make up the perimeters of the pyramid. in this pyramid, the formula for each triangle should be a million/2 x s x l. then you absolutely multiply that via 4 because there is 4 triangles. a million/2 x 231 m x 186 m x 4 = eighty 5,932 m^2. B. area of the bottom of the pyramid: the bottom is the style of a sq., so that you ought to sq. the degree of a part to discover its area. 231 m x 231 m = fifty 3,361 m^2 C. floor area of the pyramid. upload the lateral area to the realm of the bottom of the pyramid (or your solutions from area A & B). eighty 5,932 m^2 + fifty 3,361 m^2 = 139,293 m^2 desire that helps. scale factor (SF) = 30 m/1 cm
7.7 cm(30 m/1cm) = 231 m
6.2 cm(30 m/1cm) = 186 m
4*231 m = 924 m

lateral area = (1/2)(924)(186) = 85,932 m^2

area of the base = 231^2 = 53,361 m^2

surface area of the pyramid = 85,932+53,361 = 139,293 m^2

dhaminato,
Your approach is ok. But when you calculate area, you need to times 30^2. Check it.
