Gay people should have the same legal protections as others.
Religion, marital status, and familial status are all choices and are also federally protected classes.
Federal law prohibits someone from being fired or being denied housing due to religion, marital status, or familial status. There is no federal law prohibiting such discrimination against gay people.
Federal law prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, but gay people are denied hospital visitation and medical decision making rights for an ill partner, are not allowed to file joint income tax returns, and if a partner dies the surviving partner must pay tax on a jointly owned home that they would be exempt from if they were married. Sex is a protected class, but only if your sexual orientation is to the opposite sex.
Gay people deserve to have the existing rights afforded to other people also given to them and should not be discriminated against.

Yeah need more damn protection! We are the ones getting hit and ****!! We are the ones had it tougher during our teen years! School, family, friends! you striaght people don't understand until you have a gay child of your own! Others thank you for understanding
If some of you hate gay people so much, why don't you stop making them! We dont' choose to be gay and you don't choose to be straight and much less be a male or female.
One thing for sure, our sexual activity is private like any other stright person's sex life.
When straight people think of gay, they automatically think of anal sex.
I've tested this thing soooo many times! 160 ppl thought of that and 46 people didn't
This gay thing is getting really old, so some people need to drop it and move on!
So, when half of you straight people say gay people in the street it doesn't mean they are out having sex! We are trying to have fun! You guys make it seem like you never banged another partner without your current partner knowing.

Yes. Committed gay relationships should have the same legal rights and responsibilities that accrue to married couples. To do otherwise is to deny them equal protection under the law, something that the Constitution requires for all law-abiding Americans.

Yes. Especially when treated like second class citizens! Not only gay people but everyone in the GLBT community. When we are thought of as equals in society then I would answer no to your question.

Yes they do need help to help the gay bashers get put in jail for a good, long time as it should be a FELONY.
