President Bush allocated $125 million to 'assist' the workers who worked at Ground Zero. When the funds weren't being used fast enough, the federal government took back $100 million of those funds. Now our people we called our heroes are dying of cancer and other ground zero illnesses. What kind of a pathetic country is this we're living in when these men and woman can't even pay for their medical treatment? We'll spend billions to kill foreign enemies and nothing to our heroes. What the hell?

For Chris J. I have two uncles that were at Ground Zero hours after the towers fell, I do give and I do fight for every poor soul that is being used and abused by this political process.

Thats a good question. We have spent billions in Iraq not only on the war but to build new schools, hospitals etc etc etc.Yet we fail to care for those here at home. I guess that the way Washington operates. As I have said before, we could give every american at least 30,000 bucks with what we have wasted in Iraq. It's up to a BILLION per day now and growing fast. The new way is, America Last.

It makes me furious that heroes who were rescuers at Ground Zero do not have adequate medical care. They were state and federal employees, so there's absolutely no excuse for not providing them with terrific health coverage for the rest of their lives.
I have the same problem with poverty in the US. Why in the world are we funding so many countries worldwide when everyone here is not fed, housed, and employed?

Those guys deserve all the help that they can get ! Why don't you find someone who was there and send them a dollar instead of fussing and complaining about what someone else is NOT doing ! I would LOVE to see more action for heros instead of hearing so much complaining ! GET OUT AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT !!! Quit crying, you sound like a DEMOCRAT !

of the 1 billion bush promised weeks after 9-11 over 200 million was spent on lawyers to BLOCK giving out any money to the heroes.this was in the n.y. newspapers I'm not making it up.bush sucks.i truly believe he was in on 9-11. watch "loose change"on the web.

Katrina? More suckers going to their deaths in Iraq? F global warming? Tough if gas prices are up and the oil companies made record profits? ETC, ETC.
