I would suggest this series for late teens +. Although there is some very minor explicit content and underlying subject lines, it would be difficult for a younger person to gain the full scope of the novels and their embedded stories.

For adults; a lot of Anne Rice's descriptions become very explicit, erotic and sexual in nature.

They are definitely for the mature age group.Not for the squeamish or younger kids.They deal basically with beings that are social paths.Sex, violence,graphic details.

Well considering the violence and sexual content I would say from late teens and up. I love all her novels. Witching Hour was the best.
