Only if his first marriage is declared null.

The Catholic Church believes that God does not recognize civil divorces.

Jesus said, "Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." (Mark 10:9)

However there may be hope of a declaration of nullity.

The term "annulment" is a misnomer because the Church does not undo or erase a marriage bond.

Rather the Church issues a declaration of nullity when it discovers that the parties were not truly joined by God and hence a full spiritual sacramental marriage as understood by the Church was not present.

Then the parties are free to marry for the first time.

Approach the appropriate person your in your parish who has been trained in the process. If you encounter difficulties, you may go directly to the diocese.

Be prayerful, honest and patient. It takes a while.

With love in Christ.

NO, it's a matter of religion & tradition. The rule is that once you marry in a Catholic Church, you cannot get married AGAIN in a Catholic Church, unless it's with the same woman (renewing your vows). It's against Catholic Religion. Your better off with an outdoor wedding. SORRY!

Only if his wife is dead or he gets the marriage annulled. Making a deal with the bishop can take the obstacles away but it will cost him. The church has not announced the price of an annulment but they permit it far too often.

Did the first marriage end in an annulment?

As far as I know, if his first marriage is still recognized as valid through the catholic church, he cant.

neither his divorce or any marriages but his first would be recognized by the church. So your marriage and any children you have would be illegitimate to the Vatican unless he gets an anullment. Oh and no the church wouldn't marry a divorced person on the property.

Yes he can.... if the Vatican has approved an annulment of the first marriage. Otherwise, it'll have to be a civil wedding. Or he can ask for the annulment now. It doesn't take as long as it used to but there have to be reasons for the annulement that fit into their guidelines. He also has to have a civil divorce first and be able to prove it.

Has the catholic church annulled his first marriage? If they have not, then definitely not.

in case your asking can he marry in the Catholic Church lower back... it relatively is conceivable. different religions are easier to remarry. in spite of what ur being advised it relatively is puzzling, I disagree ...it relatively is an prolonged, drawn out technique. My pals took extraordinarily much 2 yrs in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it became into authorized. In that factor era they took Marriage training and resolved alot of themes that neither had concept approximately. My first suggestion is take the marriage training offered in the Catholic Diocese. they're relatively somewhat stable. next make an appointment alongside with your boyfriends priest to communicate your innovations. Then take sometime to communicate what the two considered one of you like. you do no longer point out your faith? it relatively is significant to combination and appreciate each and each others viewpoints. If no longer the rest studying approximately your boyfriends faith might help you choose what variety of provider you like. If there are teenagers in touch, it relatively is needed to take issues sluggish. to return to a pair information of what to assume of your partnership. the form you slot in the equation. make specific the excuses he chop up out of the previous marriage... are resolved. do no longer think of u can fix him or replace him... funds is a serious topic. If u can plan in the previous u marry, and start to make it take place... you have a extra appropriate risk for success. stable success and Congrats!

I think he must seek an annulment first. The marriage still exists to the church unless annulment can be granted for one of a few specific reasons, which you two may discuss with your priest.

Only if the church grants an annulment. That is the only way. It cost money also.
