humanity is not a Greek word

In ancient Greek there is no word for humanity.
In modern Greek, humanity = ανθρωπότητα, φιλανθρωπία ...DAMN! "It's like those Greeks have a different word for everything!"

There is no such thing. Both ancient and modern Greek philosophers had many different definitions of humanity.
