I AM NOT HERE TO OFFENED ANYONE! what is the big deal about abortions? i know if you had one, you're killing your child. but what if the pregnant woman was raped and doesn't want a rapists child? and if they give up the child for adoption, wouldn't that be harder? you'll spend the rest of your life, not knowing your baby, it would be easier to know it was dead. and of course, you can get pregnant while on birth control, accidents do happen. if women got pregnant and don't want the baby, let them get rid of it! what are your views on abortion?

It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, the decision is yours alone. Asking the question will most likely bring a barrage of replies from people who have decided that they are the ones who know what's best for everyone else. Dont listen, just sit down and think of all the reasons for and against, and make YOUR choice. Regardless of what other people may think they know is right for you, spending 9 months carrying a baby you have no interest in birthing is likely to cause emotional and hormonal states that could be damaging to both of you.

I believe in abortion. most abortions that happen are early term. most the time when people hear about abortions they think of late term abortions (partial birth) and how horrible it is. I really think that a lot of people dont realize not all abortions are done like that.

Women should have a choice and decide what is best for them and their situation. You would be suprized what a person would say until they have to make that decision.

Also, it may sound so easy to just have it give it up for adoption. Do you know how hard that would be? Your mind would be racing the rest of your life...to keep in contact or not, what if the child finds you and wants answers, will it have a good home, ect.

Well I have 4 kids of my own and I know I would be much happier knowing they were alive and well living a good life with someone else than dead and buried. Actually with an abortion they aren't even buried - just burned or taken to a landfill. I don't think you can say abortion is better than adoption in terms of emotional difficulty. In one case you may miss the baby because you bonded over the 9 months, in the other case you have to live with knowing you killed an innocent child. Since there are so many couples that would adopt babies regardless of how they were conceived, I think its unconscionable to have an abortion unless the baby was severely deformed with no chance at a normal life, or if the mother's life was at stake. Also, children who are molested and get pregnant should be given the morning after pill, and anyone who is the victim of incest.

Adoption? We have enough kids in orphanages. Most People that adopt only want newborns but what about all the kids 5 years and up? they wait til they turn 18 with no family ever while all these newborns are being swept up. The world has enough unwanted children in it we dont need anymore.

The "baby" inside the mother is not "alive" if it was it would be able to survive without being inside of her. It is basically just a parasite until it is born or at least until maybe 8 months when it has a chance of living on its own.

And dont bring up the " would you kill an adult or a toddler" those people are already alive had thier first breath of air that is a totally diffrent situation. that really would be murder.

First of all not everyone sees it as killing an actual child. To me an ambryo is just a bunch of cells. I had an aborting at 5 weeks and I feel no regret at all. It was an accident and I am not ready (and dont know if I will ever be) to have children. There are way too many unwanted children out there to be making more. It makes me furious that people have tried to brainwash women into thinking that having control over their own lives and not being only baby making machines is bad.

Abortion is not a crime. Raping someone is. It is true that unborn children are innocent, but a child has a right to be wanted and loved by her/his parents, no matter if she/he is adopted or not.

Does anyone of you remember how it was to be inside your mother's uterus? Then, do you think you would have suffered if you had been aborted?

In my opinion, rapes are very serious crimes, and no woman can be judged for making an abortion under such circumstances.

Additionally, I think that all women have a right to decide over their own bodies and that they may have whatever reason for making an abortion.

No male in this world should have a right to decide pro/con an abortion. It is easy to have an opinion when you don't have to take the consequences, right?

I believe it is a personal choice...and i would much prefer to have an abortion than adopt a child out i would feel more guilt for giving that baby away not knowing if it is looked after or loved and having to grow up and know that their mother didn't want them and then have to worry about what i was going to tell them if they ever found me...there is soo much more to adoption than just giving a baby away...yes there r people that can't concieve and would dearly love a baby but on the other hand there are some bad people out there..i would much rather see someone have an abortion than have the baby and abuse it ... i think it is a personal choice and people will make the choice that is right for them..i am sure that most people who entertain the idea of abortion do so with a great deal of thought so supporting your friends or family member who is going through that is more important than labelling people murderers.....

I believe that abortions are wrong no matter what the reason. If someone got pregnant from being raped then give the baby up for adoption. There are many families out there that would take great care of the baby and not think twice about how it was concieved. Why kill the baby, it wasn't the babies fault. You shouldn't blame the innocent.

It’s never acceptable to kill an innocent human being. Would you kill a one-year-old because her father was a rapist? If not, why is the child in the womb fair game? Is she less worthy of life than the rest of us because of the circumstances of her conception? Should children be punished with death for
the crime of their fathers?

Furthermore, abortion only increases the grief and trauma of a woman who has been raped. Abortion does not erase the fact of the rape, but only causes the mother to become the aggressor, hurting another innocent victim the way she was hurt. Rape is bad; murder is worse. The knowledge of what she has done to her child will haunt her long after she has healed from the rape. Studies have shown that the majority of women who abort a child conceived in rape regret it, while none of the mothers who choose to give birth do.

Killing innocent human beings is a "big deal." If women decide they don't want their baby after he or she is born, should they be allowed to "get rid of it" then, too? Have you ever seen the results of abortion? If not, take a look at this:

I don't see How anyone...Raped or not can even think about getting an abortion. It is still a living being. And it wasn't the babies fault. I could never live with myself for doing that. So it's better to kill the baby than to be sad about giving it up for adoption? um no....it's called don't be so selfish... Yes You will be sad but that doesn't mean you have to be out of the babies life forever, you can ask the parents to have contact if you want..You need to put the baby before yourself. Abortion is horrible. Period.

same as you ,had a cousin who had a thalidomide child

she was super intelligent and accused each of poisening the other ,a very evil child , the child died first in a car accident but not before she had made the parents crazy

the father went into a mental institution and died ,
the mother also died later ,

this family would have been alive ,had the child been aborted

besides these people who are shouting about killing inocent life ,think nothing of condoning mass murder by the bombing of thousands of women and children
it is a rediculous argument

abortion is up to the mother nobody else and she will have enough trouble living with the fact.
