It depends on how many weeks you were, if you were only just pregnant then chances are it could be just like a normal period. If you were further along you may have passed a dark red jelly looking sack, that may be products of conception. The best way to find out is to find a good obs and gynae doctor to check it out, you may have had an incomplete miscarraige and need a Curette. Or you may still be carrying a viable pregnancy, check it out this is not something that can be solved online. Good luck

1. Are you sure that you were pregnant? 2. How was it confirmed that you had a miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage July 05 and I bled for a month. I had 4 trips to the ER. They kept giving me ultrasounds, vaginal exams, and they drew my blood to test the Beta HCG level. If you take another pregnancy test, you will still show up as pregnant (even if you are not) because the pregnancy hormone is still there. The only way to tell if you are still pregnant is to have your blood drawn, check your HCG level, and then have it drawn again in a few days and see if it goes up. It should double everyday until a certain point in the pregnancy and then it stays consistent. My baby still had a strong heartbeat, but the Dr's. said my miscarriage was inevitable and they couldn't stop it. For my second pregnancy, I started bleeding and the ER told me that they couldn't tell or they weren't for sure if I was having a miscarriage, but my discharge papers instructed me to rest and to have my blood drawn in a few days to make sure that my pregnancy level went down...they pretty much told me I had lost my baby. I asked the nurse and she said, yes you lost your baby. I didn't believe that I had had another miscarriage. I kept hoping and praying and they were wrong! Today I am 27 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl! So pray and have your blood drawn and get some rest! I was on bed rest for a week after they said I lost my second baby and I think that made a difference in me keeping my baby.

Depends how far along you were. If it was a very early miscarriage (less than 6 weeks) there really hasn't been much development yet, mostly just cell division. Then it would be just like a period. Take another home pregnancy test in a few days and see if it comes up negative.

If your Dr said that you had a miscarriage chances are no you are not still pregnant..... I don't think the amount of time you bleed has anything to do with it......

You should see your doctor; you could still be pregnant, or you may need a D & C to remove excess tissue.
