Has anyone ever heard of a plecostomus catfish that will eat krill? Mine does. I know there's nothing wrong with it, I was just wondering if this is a common thing. None of the sites I have found mention them eating anything other than veggies and algae.

Pleco's are omnivours. They are also nocturnal. If you don't supliment them with food they will attack fish to eat their slime coat at night. Feed them sometime after you turn the lights off with an algea wafer. You can get it at your local pets store. Yes they will eat krill, flakes or anything you try to feed the other fish if they are hungry. IF you don't have any green on anything then they need to be fed before they get a hold of someone in their community. Learned the hard way, lost a $50 ranchu to a hungry pleco.

They'll eat just about anything. Mine (a rhino pleco) likes shrimp pellets. As long as they get some algae/veggies in their diet, they're happy.

In the wild they eat crustaceans: http://www.aquatic-hobbyist.com/profiles/freshwater/catfish/plecostomus.html

They will eat all kinds of things. They need and do eat lots of veggies and algae, but they do eat other things as well. Nothing to worry about.

Yeah they will eat any slow fish they can get. They especially love goldfish because of the goldfish's large slime coat.
