You know the sad part is I actually started to remember this when I read it...lol. But after doing a search the song is (ironically) called Doctor! Doctor! and it is indeed by the Thompson Twins. Good call first person. =)

That was the Thompson Twins. Extremely popular during the mid-eighties. Several hits. They also did "Lies, Lies, Lies" and "Lay Your Hands". Great group.
