Yes, or they wouldn't be in business. There are plenty of dishonest people around that make up their customer base.

It's a good way to get expelled from college for plagiarism or at least get an F if you're in high school. Do the work yourself. You're not going to learn how to write by buying an essay, and you can probably write something better than the crap those sites will have anyway.
These sites are probably fed by students with bad grades to begin with who just want to enjoy whatever incentives the site might provide for participating in uploading essays. Your straight-A authors are probably less likely to engage in such unethical behavior because they have a lot more to lose. Nerds like me never like having anyone ride our coattails.

I'm a college professor, so I can tell you first hand that college professors can and do check students' essays to see if they are plagiarized. It's pretty easy and very effective. And since you can get kicked out of school for doing something like that, I'd recommend not even trying, and just doing the work like everyone else.
When you're in the real world, you won't be able to pay anyone to do your work for you.

I am on the workforce of a company that provides essay-writing services for students. I was "duped" into being hired by them, as they told me I would be doing research for corporations. I have never accepted a single job they offer me.
Lots of students can and do use essays that they haven't written for themselves, whether they download them from a website or pay to have someone else write them. Recently, a saw a PhD thesis sell for 6,400 UK pounds (that's like $10,000 US).

if you're in college, your profesors have access to software that can search the net for plagiarism. just so you know.
no i have not purchased an essay but i wouldnt recommend it-- you have no way of knowing how many other people in your class might try the same thing--2 similar papers in one class definitely looks suspicious...
