Here's a really good article on that. I'm sorry i can't help you more. But you should probably call and ask a doctor what to do just in case. I hope it all works out.

The vagina is not that large that you could lose a tampon.
I am of the opinion that it has dropped out and you have not been aware of it. Any attempt to insert you fingers into the vagina should put pressure on the tampon as it is pushed against the cervix. If you feel this then it is definitely there.
Use a morror in good light and spread the inner lips wide enough for you to see inside. If it is your fingers are definitely long enough to ba able to remove it. The string is for hygeine reasons but this is your bidy and body fluid so there is no problem in handling this object.

But as i said before I doubt it is still there. If the method I decribed faisl consult with a female doctor at the the local ER. They will use a speculum to examine the area and either remove it or put your worry to rest.

If you go to the doctor and tell them about it, they will remove it safely. It's not an unusual thing for tampons or condoms to get stuck, and removing them is pretty routine. No one will judge you.

But do get to a ER and have this done. You don't want to take the risks that would be involved in not doing so. That could kill you.

This is normal and does happen to few women just be happy that it a tampon vs a condom. You should got the ER and have it removed because of TSS. No one is going laugh or be up set.

Our vaginas aren't so big that you shouldn't be able to feel with your fingers that a tampon is still in there. If you can't find a string, the tampon may have slipped out the last time you went to the bathroom and you just didn't notice it. You have two options, wait it out (if the tampon is still in there, then a bad odor will develop and you can go to your doctor or douche it out), or go to your physician and he can take it out for you using what looks like a large tweezers. I don't see a need for a trip to the emergency room just to have a tampon removed.

GO TO THE ER!!! Dont panic. It will be ok. Make sure that you tell them that it has been there for 5 hours already. They will remove it with forceps. It will not hurt. They will not make fun or laugh at you. BELIEVE ME....there have been people have WAY stranger things stuck up there!!!

You should be able to reach up and grab the tampon with your fingers. If you cannot feel it then it most likely fell out already. If you have any concerns go to urgent care as they have heard it all before.

They will take it out for you. Try finding the string again yourself before you go. If you cannot find it you need to go to the Dr. If you leave it in you will get very sick and can die.

Get to the ER as soon as you can. They will get it out for you using some sort of instrument, and they shouldn't laugh at you either. If they do, they're being unprofessional.

You don't want to risk TSS.

If it's too far up for you to even find it you need to have it removed at your dr's. Dont leave it in too long, you risk develping toxic shock syndrome - can develope for leaving a used tampon in too long.
