You should not get pregnant until you have graduated college and established yourself in a career and are married. Until then, use a condom every time. And if you do get pregnant by accident then get an abortion.

Ideally it makes sense, but unfortunately real life doesn't always happen like that. I have to agree with you that is the way I chose to do it but I believe everything happens for a reason and if it happens that is just the way it was meant to be. Remember though that not everyone wants the same thing we do however.

Who in the bloody hell do you think you are? How dare you sit here and say teens who get pregnant should get an abortion.
Who in the hell are you to even sit here and tell people when they should get pregnant? I got a newsflash for your ignorant and uneducated a** , plenty of people only graduate high school and make great things of themselves and if you get knocked up when your a teen due to BC failing or a condom breaking and you keep the baby you know what that is called?TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS.
Just because a teen gets pregnant does not mean they have destroyed there life's and it is people like you who make them think just that and they end up terminating there pregnancy because of it.. My High School had the highest rate of teen pregnancy and teen mothers then any other high school in my state and I had many friends who were moms by the time they graduated and yes most of them did graduate and some of them went to college including myself.
I was 16 when I got pregnant and had my baby at 17 and I will be 20 on the 5th and I graduated High School and am now in College. I got pregnant due to BC failing and I new right away I was going to keep the baby because that was the responsible thing to do and I was a responsible person back then and still am.
Do not sit here and tell people that they should get an abortion if they get pregnant underage because you have no right to do and why the hell you even think you have a right to speak so badly about something you know nothing about is beyond me. You know nothing about being a teen mom and what it is like and most girls who became moms as teens do not even give a damn about the opinion of someone who did not experience being a teen mom themselves.

I've found some of these answers really upsetting...
I am a mother of a beautiful 3 year old my partner and I had him we we were only 17. Yes I agree that we were silly and should have been more care full when playing around but we have learned from the mistake we made. There is no right and wrong into bringing a child into the world. People say that you should be married or have a career before you have children... Well there are a lot of people out there now that are having a family before marriage and a lot of people out there (like me) who makes being a parent a career. I am happy with my life, my child and my partner. We went through a horrible time when walking at the shops with a newborn because we both did look so young, but I'd never pay out people for having a child at such a young age. Their fault, their problem...Not ours....

I agree that it is a bad idea for a teen girl to get pregnant, but if she was irresponsible enough to get pregnant, then that was her fault. That kid has no reason to die just because their mom was an irresponsible promiscuous person at a young age. Even if they don't keep the kid, they do not have the right to abort it. I say that if you don't want to take that chance, then you shouldn't have sex until you are graduated and "ready" for a child.

i agree that you should graduate college and get a career and all that stuff before you get pregnant, but i think that if you get pregnant very young it's up to you to decide if you will get an abortion or not. anyway i don't think that abortion is the best choice

This is the way I feel about it. If you are having sex you should be responsible for the consequences which would be STD's or babies. Think about all the women that wait and have mature sex with the ones they love and they are trying for a child and they can't have one or it takes a long time. Then you have teenage girls running around having sex like crazy and getting pregnant and aborting the child. Its a sin to MURDER someone!! If you do get pregnant at least give the child up for adoption.
If you can't handle the sex, you can handle giving birth to one of life's most beautiful miracles.

I think that in this day and time yes it is. Especially if the teen has no idea where she's going in life. Most teen have children and the child is stuck with the grandparents because now they (the teen) wants to go out and have fun. Well it's not fair to the child or grandparent. Wait until you're priorities are together and you have a wonderful job that you know you will be at for several years, save your money then think about children.

I agree that a young teen should not get pregnant but what I absolutely DO NOT AGREE WITH is getting an abortion because you did get pregnant! I have a few friends of mine who can't have kids and would die to be able to adopt an infant!! There are more options then killing your baby! Like for example, I was a mom at 19, does that mean I should have killed my child? NO, it means I had to quit being a teen and be a mommy or give my child up for adoption!!! I am a young mommy because I couldn't leave my child with someone else!

I agree with the first part...teen parents aren't equipped to handle the emotional, physical, mental, and financial aspects that having a baby brings. As for having an abortion, I disagree. That baby is a life and has a soul. There are many many couples who can't have children that would love to adopt one and give that child a good home.

i agree that you should not have a baby until you have a steady life. i'm a teen mom i should have waited it would have been alot easy. so yes please wait. now for the part of being pregant and yor a teen and getting an adortion i think you should keep it because 1 you knew what could happen if you don't use protaction 2 i don't think that abortions are a good thing.
