As far as impact on everyday life Nikoli kicked butt and would have likely done a lot more if he and Mr. Edison didn't have such different personalitys.
I'd have to award the "pure physics" (math and theory) to Albert.
To me personally though it would be Tesla.

Einstein provided more to science than just relativity (which, although being one of the most amazing advancements of science ever produced singlehandedly, admitedly is pretty far removed from everyday life).
The two most obvious examples also come from his 'marvelous year' in 1905. He published a paper explaining the photoelectric effect, which helped lead the way to quantum mechanics; without which we wouldn't have things like computers. He also published a paper on brownian motion, which more or less confirmed the atomic theory - that matter is made of atoms.
I have the feeling that much of Tesla's work, as wonderful as it was, was part of an overall trend; we would have had AC current as a power distribution scheme with or without Tesla. But if we hadn't had Einstein, I feel that much of his work would have only been developed much much later, if at all.

Can't really compare them.
Tesla was much more of an engineer so his contributions tend to be more visible as practical inventions.
Einstein was a true scientist. His theories helped to explain the workings of the physical world. However, he did lay the theoretical ground work for a great deal of today's technology. A few examples:
- GPS would not work if relativistic corrections were not made for satellite motion above the earth.
- His explaination of the photoeletric effect helped to explain the quantization of light, which was a fundamental discovery in early quantum mechanics - which is the basis for understanding much of modern semiconductor electronics.

Tesla gave us something practical and usefull. The three phase alternating electrical generation system. The Induction motor etcc.
The electrical power generation systems and the Induction motor became the work horse of modern industry. It revolutionzed the Century.
Einstein developed an alternate way to calculate gravity. With his Field Equation.. however it was so complicated to Understand that most teachers would rather teach Newton's gravity equation which was much simpler.
Which is most imporant to us.? Well I believe every human is important no matter how trivial is their contribution to society.

I believe that Newton was the most important scientist in history. Einstein was definitely the scientist from last century that I would put at the top of my list but his impact is due the number of people currently working in science that were trained about his new ideas. When time passes and Einstein's approximation of the way to describe reality is replaced with a better method Newton's contributions will continue to affect our everyday world.

Personally to me, I prefer Tesla. Tesla is my greatest hero, and he is the same religion as I. He is more of a technical engeneer, but Einstein is good at math. Still I choose Tesla, because he deserves it.
