i get like that i am 7 weeks pregnant it very common in pregnancy The main cause of dizziness in pregnancy is due to the rising hormones that cause your blood vessels to relax and widen. This helps increase the blood flow to your baby, but it slows the return of the blood in the veins to you. This causes your blood pressure to be lower than usual, which can reduce the blood flow to your brain, temporarily causing dizziness. when you feel like this just lay down until it passes, don't get up to fast and try not to stand for long periods of time it usually passes when you reach second trimester

Not uncommon. At that point in your pregnancy it is likely to be due to the huge increase in blood supply your body is trying to produce. It may need more water (drink 6-8 glasses a day, even though it's hard!) or iron (through a supplement or natural sources like red meat and dark vegetables). Definitely discuss this with your doctor; it could be a symptom of many things or nothing at all. In the meantime, avoid standing up quickly, continue eating well, and get plenty of rest. And good luck!

Hi
Dont worry hun, this is perfectly normal. I felt the same through all 3 of my pregnancies and I altough I never actually passed out it felt like I would. It used to happen to me a lot when I was getting out of the bath. Just take things nice and easy and if you feel lightheaded sit down for a few minutes or get some fresh air.
You will be fine and hopefully this feeling will pass soon!

Sounds to me like you could be aneamic too! I wouldn't stress too much about it though. It is really common. And loads of people get dizzy and feel faint too without actually being aneamic.
I was very dizzy with my first but not aneamic and dizzy with my second and was!
I am always on my own as my husband is in the forces so i know what you mean about being on your own if it happens but i actually was, just last week and i have always feared this. I felt terrible straight after i came round but i got through it. My son passed me the phone and i called his grandma while i came round and she calmed him down and let him know what to do.
As soon as you feel dizzy just lie down and put your feet in the air and take it easy getting back up, nice calm deep breaths and you will be fine. Hope you feel better soon. (and tell your b/f how much it scares you - it scares me too so your not on your own)

I know how you feel. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and experience the same thing from time to time. In addition to your body producing more blood it's also giving your uterus first dibs on that blood supply. Thus, less to the brain. Drink more water, be sure to stay hydrated and you should start feeling better. Also, don't stand or sit up too quickly, change positions slowly. That should help too.

It's very, very common for a pregnant woman to feel faint. I did - all the way through mine.
It's good you're seeing the doctor - but try not to worry in the meantime. If you don't have any other symptoms, you're probably fine.

are you anaemic? Are you taking any supplements whilst pregnant? You need to keep your iron levels up. There are very good pregnancy specific vitamins such as pregnacare. Don't worry so much about your baby, you only need to worry for yourself and your baby. Get this checked out immediately. Low iron levels can be extremely dangerous on your unborn child.

It's good you will be seeing your doctor. With both my pregnancies I had to be careful shopping. It turns out the fluorescent lighting was making me feel faint...I could even hear it humming. My docotor put it down to the heightened senses some women have during pregnancy.Finding out will lessen your anxiety and you will be better prepared to handle it. Good luck to you:)

I had that. Your body is trying to work harder for you baby. Your heart rate increases as does your intake of oxygen ect..
Its good to get checked over by the doctor, but dont worry too much, im sure you will be fine.

its perfectly normal to have dizzy fainting spells when you are first pregnant, i had that with my 1st, used to find myself on the floor, its the hormonal changes, if you feel faint wen you get out of bed, sit on the side until you feel better, getting up too quik can cause it, if you feel dizzy wen you are up, sit with you head between yor knees until it passes, it goes with time, make sure you get as much rest as possible, accept help wiv your 3 yr old if its offered. you will b ok
