I have flushed the radaitor 3 times now in the past month. I have replaced hoses. I have replaced the thermostat, I have replaced the heater core and the hoses for it. But I am still have to put coolant in the radaitor. I also checked the oil to see if it had water in it but it looks good. I have even had a pressure test done too. Still nothing, if anyone has any answer it would be helpful. THANX

You may have a leaky intake manifold gasket. It can externally, thereby no water gets in your oil . It can also leak only when your'e driving or it may leak insuch a small amount onto the engine block that the heat of the engine actually evaporates the coolant before it runs down and drips on your floor. This is very difficult to find ,but witha GOOD light and maybe a mirror you can check the front and back of the intake. This has happened on my '00 Blazer, my son's '01 Grand Prix, and my Wife's '99 Venture.. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Could be a head gasket. If you have pressure tested and it holds pressure, and can find no indication of an external leak, even chalky white traces from coolant leaking so minutely that it burns off on the hot engine, then head gasket is a possibility. The pressure test often doesn't show it because it doesn't start leaking until the engine is at operating temperature. You see no leaks because the coolant is drawn into the combustion chamber and burned with the fuel. You might see white smoke out the tailpipe if it is a severe enough leak, especially on initial start up because when the engine was shut down when warm the coolant continued to leak into the cylinder for a short time; then sat there until the engine was restarted. One of the simplest ways to check for this is to pull the plugs. If you find one or two that are white on the tip while the others look normal, you have found your problem. Happy Hunting.

coulb be a faulty water pump. If nothing else leaks, hoses, fittings, radiator itself, my money be on a faulty water pump, which by now it has probably got toasted or is just about to be toasted. depending on the make of your car, is a doit yourself job that should take no longer then 10 minutes.

OK........................you've done all that.........did you say it was overheating......or you are just toping off the radiator.......anyway,open your radiator cap....did you pressure test the cap?.........run till reaches operating temperature...does it flash back out of the radiator?......if so replace thermostat...you got a bad one.......if not....top it off while running....can you see the coolant flowing....if not check your water pump......now..do you have a fan clutch or an electric fan?.......either way check this for operational difficulties,s........hope this help,s.
