In a country of just 22 million peoples, 5 million have escaped to Oman, Jordan. Not to mention Syria and Iran. These I might add are the most able and educated Iraqis.

Nearly a million have been killed in 3 years of occupation. The majority left are the less educated, children, women and the less physically able and no doubt the insurgents.

This paints a scenario where Bushco can simply overwhelm the country and take over it's resources with the help of the Puppet Regime.

One fly in the ointment.... The surrounding countries are not going to make this happen. Am I anywhere near the button?

Everyone knows this....Why are you asking?

It's OIL, OIL and more OIL. There never was any intention to liberate and bring any form of democracy to the Iraqi people. More like "laser guided democracy".

On the side, its the wepons industry that stands to make boatloads of cash, with their faithful investors. War makes money.

It is about the resources the US needs to stay the worlds superpower, to keep the wheels of it's economy turning, to keep others oppressed and maintain their standard of living.

The idea is for the US to occupy Iraq for as long as possible and take as much oil out of that country as possible. Although it's never been covered past the no-bid Halliburton contracts, the development of the Iraqi oil field is in high gear, and oh my goodness, the pipeline bombings have stopped, I wonder who could have done that. Who could that possibly be?

It is probably not a million yet but it is no where near the low ball figured used by one poster here. In 2003, it was estimated that over 10,000 had died. This was before the Al Qaeda attacks and the insurgency started in earnest. In 2004, it was estimated at that time that over 100,000 Iraqi civilians had been killed.
Since then there have been on average 100 deaths a death this includes the bombings, beheadings and assassinations that are a daily occurrence. The only times there were no deaths was when the cities were in full lock down-all day curfews which cannot be sustained.

I saw a thing on BBC about one million Iraqi's living under bridges in Jordan. That's a lot of toilet paper blowing in the wind.

Though King Abdula is a great guy He is getting a little stressed. Like the other members of the Arab League their patients with Bush is wearing thin.

Go big Red Go

I think you are close. Why else would most of the major construction going on in Iraq be the building of permanent US military bases. Face it, 9/11 was used as an excuse for the US to gain a permanent presence in the middle east.

I think the real reason is, we were not greeted as liberators as V.P. Cheney said we would be and now we don't know how to get out without losing face around the world.

Don't know if you are anywhere near the button.
But the Terrorists would sure agree with you.
(Even though it's the terrorists that are killing the people.)

Ah...no.

Would you care to provide some "facts" from some "reputable", unbiased, non-partisan sources who support your conspiracy theory?

Ah...I thought not.
