Very few lesbians, actually. More gay men that I know are 'gold stars', I think. But then again, I tend to surround myself with open-minded people, I guess.

I'm bisexual, so the question doesn't apply, but I hate the term 'gold star'. It sets up a hierarchy of 'better' or 'best' gays and lesbians, as though someone who has slept with a member of the opposite sex is tainted somehow. There is no such thing- our sexual pasts are just that- part of us, integral, important, personal- but just because a lesbian hasn't been with a man doesn't mean she's somehow better than one who has. I just hate the concept, which makes the aforementioned women question their sexuality (again!), not want to divulge their pasts, and feel generally ashamed and worthless.

Sorry for the rant; I just really hate the term.

Vanessa what is your point in asking this question? What do you seek to gain by it? Are you trying to validate something that you do in the solace that others are doing what you do?

Gold Stars? What is that code for sexual confusion?

I've never been with the opposite sex. I always knew I liked guys, so didn't bother trying to be with girls.

I have not, nor can I imagine in my wildest dreams (or nightmares) a reason to ever sleep with a woman. EVER. And I am 45 years old.
