I figure Harry will live, for several reasons. A lot of ten year olds will be crushed if he dies, the religious folks will be after Rowling for letting evil triumph over good, half Rowling's fan base will hate her for it... I think she's just building up that someone will die to attract her readers. Two of Rowling's three characters that died in the sixth book were Emmeline Vance and Madam Bones, characters you didn't even know until book five. No one really cared, which won't be the case for Harry, Ron, or Hermione if they die in the seventh, though they most likely won't. I also think Rowling's trying to make this last book all dramatic to make it seem like her villain is actually villainous, but he's had--what is it now?--FIVE picture perfect opportunities to get rid of Harry, and he hasn't yet. The fourth book should have turned out completely different. Rowling shouldn't have put a crazy, my-life-is-but-to-serve-you loyal Death Eater five paces from Harry, NOT have him attack Harry, and then explain why he didn't at the end by saying "I could not harm Harry Potter. My master needed him." BULL. If I were a psychotic Death Eater, I would have stunned Harry (which wouldn't have harmed a hair on the kid's head), turned a twig or branch nearby into a Portkey, and transported straight to Voldemort before Dumbledore realized Harry was gone. Which is why, if I ever go evil, I will probably win. That's why I'm really glad I probably won't turn villainous.

Well ok. I read that she was asked if she had to choose who she would have lunch with out of her books, she said Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Then she paused and said that she wasn't sure if she could invite dead characters, so she stopped. So it sounds like she won't kill off any of the 3. BUT I believe that Harry will die because (I know it's crazy) his eyes are a horcrux. And to finish off Voldy, he has to kill himself. She said she kills off two main characters that she didn't intend to. SO... my conclusion would be (other than Harry), Neville and Ginny. It sucks but that's what I think. No reasoning behind it really.

That's probably just a rumor. They say that JK Rowling may kill off Harry so no one can continue the series but they tried that with Sherlock Holmes, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle(I think) brought him back.

i'm uncertain. yet in order that which you be attentive to, dumbledore has already died interior the 6th e book. however the ghost theory is powerful. As for who dies i definatly desire that its not harry, ron and hermoine, yet maby snap. a probability i'm hoping Voldemort cos he recommend. I recommend hes the undesirable guy has to die. yet maby if Voldemort does die, could Harry die too??? i'm hoping not. besides solid bye and god bles :) P.S the recent movie comes out on the july thirteenth 2007 only theory you need to be attentive to

Yes, it's true. Ms. Rowling has released to the world that she will be killing off two main characters. She said that she doesn't want other writers carrying on her books after she has finished.

Why people ask this beyond me. the only person who knows is J.K. Rowling herself so everybody is just going to say every character in the book. There is no point in asking. all i know is it is called "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and it comes out July 21.

I think she will kill off the main character so that in the future nobody tries to revive the title character. Yes, Harry Potter will die, maybe.

Harry isn't a Horcrux. They have to be made intentionally, and Voldemort's intention was to kill Harry. Plain and simple.
I'm banking on Voldemort, but I don't think either Hermione or Ron will die. I don't think his life would be worth living without them.
Wouldn't it be nice if Kreacher was one of them?

I think that both Harry and Voldemort will die. I think they'll kill each other. The prophecy said "Neither can live while the other survives," but it never actually said that one would survive. I hope I'm wrong though.
