It is not at all unusual for your period to be irregular for the first year after you start. This is normal. It's ok. Enjoy the reprieve.

each person's cycle will vary. Yours may not follow the 28 day cycle.
I'm 40 yrs old and have never had a regular cycle.
Don't worry.
Enjoy not getting "your friend" as often.
Being under weight will definitly effect regularity.
85 lbs and 5'2 is really thin. Do you have an eatting disorder.
I hope you don't. That will make you miss periods also.
If you haven't gotten another period by March/April you may want to consult a Doctor/obgyn.

Well, the first couple of months your period will not come right on time and for the first year or so it will be kinda messed up. Don't worry about you're schedule. Since you're underweight, that may contribute also. If you don't get it anytime soon, you may want to see a doctor.

Usually when you first start having your period it takes awhile for your periods to get regulated. The cramps you are now having sound like your next period it on its way!
If you are unsure at any time and are worried, you should consult with your doctor. Seeking advise on this site can be helpful but don't always believe everything that everyone says. Sometimes you just have to go to the experts, in this case, your doctor, if you are worried. (If you have a good relationship with your mom, then talk to her too and she might be helpful to calm your fears.
Good luck!

For a while your periods will not be regular. Don't worry about it as stress can cause them to become even more irregular. And by the way it is completely normal.

Your periods probably will not be very regular at first. It could be like this for awhile. If you are concerned about it, check with your doctor. Birth control pills can help to regulate your period and help w/cramping.

holy shizit ur sooo skinny! i got my period first time back in june (im 12 years old) and its normal for it to be later. in fact, i got my period again only 20 days after the first one. my mom says that your body is still adjusting to these changes, and eventually it will come around the same time. mark down on a calendar when your period came, so you'll expect when it wil come next.
