hmm... interesting... maybe your body doesn't agree with something in teh coffee? i don't know... i would think that coffee avoids that, because coffee stimulates your adrenal glands to produce epiniphrine, which would increase blood flow and metabolic activity to your brain and muscles, but lower the activity of the gastro-intestinal tract, which should put the digestive system slightly on hold

coffee shouldn't move the digestive system right along, because epinephrine is what makes the body jumpy (but caffeine makes you awake in a different method, blocks adenosine receptors in your brain), and epinephrine reduces blood flow to the digestive system, because epinephrine causes the "fight or flight" response, and u don't really need your digestive system when you're running for your life.... idk, maybe the UC berkeley professor was wrong

maybe its because the caffeine in coffee is a stimulant and will stimulate parts of your digestive system! but the most likely cause is simple,
the fact that the drink is warm means that the particles in the liquid itself have more energy and are moving much faster hence absorption of the drink into your body will be a lot quicker! theirs nothing wrong with the coffee and certainly nothing wrong with you! in fact it is more advisable to drink a warm drink in summer and after exercise for this reason however bad it tastes!

The answer that said it's a stimulant is right it can change the way your organs work so in your case it's your bowels, usually it's the kidneys cause it's a diuretic and it can make you want to wee more often.

Caffeine (trimethylxanthine) is a heart stimulant, mild diuretic (pee stimulator), and bowel stimulant. You experience something caffeine is meant to do, nothing abnormal and nothing is wrong with the coffee.
