It is getting out of hand, young women these days going to work in a workplace bare legged, they wear nice outfit but wear no pantyhose or stocking go along with it, it really degrade their appearance, some of the major workplace dress code are not require women to wear hosiery any more, they should consider to bring it back in my opinion.

Maybe it should not be a workplace dress code, but I totally agree, that it just looks better. Sexier maybe too, but it really looks much nicer.
Some of them have pale legs, that just look like not belonging to the outfit. Hosiery really rounds up a nice dress, and shouldn't miss.

I agree. Where I work hosiery is required for men and women. that means just as no man would come to work in bare feet and sandals, no woman can either.

It looks so out of place to see a woman dressed in a business suit, with high heels sandals and bare legs. Who said toes were good looking? It is not a question of heat, all offices are air conditioned as are most buses, trains and cars. Bare legs are for sports and swimming, and professionally dressed women should wear hosiery. If you hate pantyhose, and I do, wear stockings or hold ups. They are terrific, and present none of the problems of pantyhose.

I'd love to see more women wear hosiery, but I think it depends on how professional the dress code is to begin with. Hosiery shouldn't be included in a work place that only has a business casual dress code. However I believe it should be included in the more professional business atmosphere's.

Many workplaces are requiring men to wear ties again. If men are made to wear ties, there's nothing wrong with hose for women. I applaud the the move to a more professional look. One thing that bugs me is the wearing of dark skirt or pants, black pumps and no hose; the contrast between the outfit and the pale skin is very unattractive. Requiring hose might also help to eliminate the most unprofessional item ever to hit the workplace: flip flops!

I wear a uniform, and it's either desert or woodland diggies depending on the season or training environment, and sleeves up or down are set by the unit commander. When we have to wear any other uniform (Dress Blues, Service Alphas/Charlies etc) we have to go through an inspection to make sure everything is by the numbers, because 1st Sgt Bealle gives no quarter.

I agree! It looks very unprofessional when a woman doesn't wear stockings to her workplace! Women are getting too casual.

I agree wholeheartedly...in fact, I believe men should be required to wear socks as well.

NO. hosiery left because it was soooo out of style now..and it still is. so why bring it back..that would mean they got rid of the requirement for no reason
