Dont do it, keep them out of it, especially if you are on benefits. Whatever they get from him say 200 per month, you will only end up getting about 50 of it. the rest gets deducted from your benefit and goes to the tax man. So talk to him privately, come to a deal of your own for a sum between the 2 figures and tell no-one or you'll both end up losers

well the honor system works, that been proven.
if you don't have a court order for child support, get lost. just call a brothel you will make enough money there to support your kids. they will let you know what to do.
if you go on welfare, they will do the paperwork for you
if he is not paying support, write your states Attorney General, Governor and Child Support office let them know that he is really not the father anyway.
if you are talking about the father not coming, no one can force a parent come or visit the child, but they still have to ( if caught) pay child support even if they chose not to see the child. If hes smart he is far far away!

Your father has the scent of abs? I didn't realize that muscle tissue had a scent. I assume you could report fathers with the scent of abs to the child support agency the same way that you report fathers without the scent of abs. Call them.

well the honor system doesnt work, that been proven.
if you dont have a court order for child support, get one. just call the county court clerks office and ask for the child support dept. they will let you know what to do.
if you go on welfare, they will do the paperwork for you and sick him worse then the IRS.
if he is not paying support, write your states Attorney General, Governor and Child Support office. phone calls do nothing, but writing will, because they have to then.
if you are talking about the father not coming, no one can force a parent come or visit the child, but they still have to pay child support even if they chose not to see the child(ren).
some links to help. some you have to click on your state and then find the section you need and some are just to help you. some are the laws and info on child support.

Absent as in he is not providing financial support for his child?
If you are in the UK, and claiming benefits, they automatically notify CSA and you will have to attend an interview. If you refuse to communicate with the CSA re info then they have the power to reduce your benefits. (Unless by giving them the fathers details would put you and your child at risk)
If you are not on benefits and you are looking for support for your child you just need to phone them and chat to them.
As one of the other answers says if you can reach an agreement for payments between yourself and your working thats got to be less stressful.

You'll need his address, or last known address, and National Insurance number is the easiest way to trace him. So they say.
But dont hold out too much hope. My ex lived half a mile away and they couldnt find him.

WHy don't you send me a third of your net income and allow me to deprive you of 80% of your childrens childhood for 6 months. Then after you have truly walked in his shoes ask yourself why you would want to.
