I work really stupid shifts and get busy and forget about my pills and sometimes I take it in the morning and sometimes at night.

It is recommended that you get in the habit of taking your pill at a certain time every day. It does not matter what time this is a long as you are consistent. Not only will it help you remember your pill as part of your daily routine, but it may help minimize irregular or “breakthrough” bleeding as well.

Depends how late it is - it's best if it's the same time every day - but on the combined pill you can be up to 12 hours late - I don't know what would happen if you were always 12 hours late but a few times is fine and a couple of hours off is probably okay. Harriet

It's not a huge deal just so long as you take them every day. It reduces their effectiveness slightly, and can make your period a little more irregular. You should just take them at night before you go to sleep. That's what I do. It won't make you unhealthy or anything. It may throw your hormones, but nothing noticeable.

They won't be as effective and you could have breakthrough bleeding.
