Yes..... I agree with you. Hence the trips over to France for shopping not just booze, I buy all sorts from washing powder to meat (which is much better qualitity not just cheaper), I will buy all sorts in different countries due to cost, when i am away. Yes in Britain we are ripped off. The longest working week in Europe, the worst paid and the highest prices for everything. WHY?

curiously you do no longer stay in Texas. the place I stay, they're putting in yet another oil nicely extraordinarily much on a daily basis. At night, the lights on the drilling rigs remind you of what variety of strengthen you're residing in. The oil tankers and kit autos run night and day down my highway. The windmills are beautiful at night, too, all lit up and fully silent, producing huge quantities of electric energy for the grid. Texas has its very own potential grid, so if the different states bypass black, we will nonetheless be keepin' on in basic terms like in the previous. Our financial device is booming a lot that workers are returning from all over the united states to get those severe-paid oilfield jobs, and our faculties are turning out technicians who comprehend and might submit and fix windmills. All this under Obama. And next time a gas conglomerate needs to pollute the water on your farm with fracking and could no longer pay you for the inconvenience, undergo in innovations who moved to guard you in the direction of the EPA. have you ever been to West Virginia, and considered how the coal companies destroyed the gorgeous hills via reducing off the tops of them, so the coal may be elementary to get carry of? I observed that years in the past, and could no longer have faith my eyes. West Virginia was surprising land. each so often slightly trip in those u . s . a . beats sitting homestead and watching Fox information.

Yes but you are not comparing "like with like" the two economies work in totally different ways.
Americans are obsessed with tax, they WILL NOT pay high taxes and this results in lower prices. The labour market is cut throat and this results in much lower wages.
In Britain high taxes are the norm and of course we are paying for the NHS, social security etc. Which may or may not be a good thing depending on your point of view.

Got mine in B & Q for £150.
But... in the USA in a five star hotel shop, they had a real pink leather jacket for $70. Same thing at home - bout £200
We got two ordinary windproof type jackets, with a San Francisco golden gate bridge logo on for $20. Even tesco is more expensive than that!
Reversible jackets at that.

I've noticed for years...especially when buying online. Check out the ridiculously high prices of cameras in this country when compared to ..say America. Some of them are HALF the price than in this country!.
