I saw a figure that says the US has spent 600 billion on Iraq so far. According to my rough calculations that is about 2000 dollars per person 6000 per person if you only include the 100 million or so of us that actually pay taxes.

Not at all

We secured the strategic commodity, oil, in just a few weeks.

The war now is a combination of insane pandering to the US religious right [to Christianize Iraq] and the arrogance of the administration who are sending American young men and women to die or be mutilated in order to "make Iraq safe for democracy."

I was in the Vietnam War - the war to make Vietnam safe for democracy. Look where that war got us.

No, it's not worth it. all we're doing is killing innocent lives and sending us troops only to get killed. America faces no real danger. It's an excuse to rob a country of oil. Why do we need oil anyways. All it does is pollute the planet more and Bush isn't doing anything to stop global warming. Besides we have so much new technology that doesnt require oil and other alternatives that are less harmful to our environment than oil. So we're not gaining anything. All we're doing is losing millions of lives and money. Bush is just generalizing that everyone in Iraq or Afganisthan is a terrorist just because those that did bomb the US were from there. And we already found that there are no weapons of mass desturction in Iraq and we killed Sadam, so why are we still there. for oil? no war is not the answer and the war is not worth it.

Of course not.
War is only worth it if we have no choice. We had a choice here, and Bu$h was not about to choose peace.
