Before anybody decides to give me a thumbs down, just to let you know I come from a very colorful family, and I am not racist.. just stating my opinion.. First black president, it would be wonderful if Colin Powell ran. I would vote for him in a heartbeat. And I think most of America would too. But Jesse Jackson? no way.. Jesse Jackson is a racist. Nobody owes anybody for something that happened 100 years ago, regardless of race, and that needs to be kept there, the violence will never stop until that happens. First Latino? Not too sure on this one.. would that mean we would get rid of all border patrol? I have not heard many political Latinos to make a firm opinion. First woman? Not Hilary for one thing. Women can be one of two things in power, they are either a pacifist, or a tyrant, there is no happy medium... gees.. good question..There is no right answer.. how about the right answer being whoever is best regardless of race or sex? It is the best person for the job.. and none could do any worse than what we have had in the last 50 years,...

You know, I care less about whether they are black, Latino or a woman. I care a lot more about who I think will really do the best that they can to change things in Washington & the nation.
During the race for the White House; a lot of promises will be made, Listen for the ones that you think anyone can really keep. For someone to say they can stop the war in Iraq tomorrow, I won't believe. It is far more complicated than that promise implies. I just want someone who is realistic & honest in what they say they could & would do if elected.

I SWEAR TO GOD.
I'm a white male. I feel that the only people on this plant that are inferior are the stupid white males that do not believe in equal liberty. Face it. If you're complaining about a first lady president, THEN YOU MUST CONSIDER YOURSELF STUPID. Evidently, she is smarter than you, since she is in this position, therefore she is not inferior, but since she has more common sense then you to get a good education and grip on life, and smarter than you, she must be more superior to you. And who may I ask voted for the current president. Yes, the quote "superior" white males. Well look how far that superior president got!
1) Got us in millions, billions, and yes- trillions of dollars in debt.
2) Basically, every one in the world wants our heads gone.
3) On the edge to a nuclear war with Iran.
So you tell me who is inferior...
1) George W. Bush
...or...
2) Hillary Rodham Clinton
I believe you answered your own question... George W. Bush.
So if you were smart, vote either: Braca Obama or Hillary Clinton!
You know what they say: If there's Hill, there's bound to be Bill! Basically Hillary will appoint Bill into her cabinet, and what's better than have an advisor in your cabinet who was a president themselves?
So let's do a good thing this next election, and show the world we're not ignorant white discriminate morons, and vote either the first black male, or the first female!!!

It depends on the individual. Obama, Richardson and Clinton are each no less qualified than Bush was in 2000. I don't mean this as a partisan shot but I think they are all actually more qualified than our current president was.

Could care less if he/she is purple with two heads.... can that person lead this country honestly without yielding to the big corporations and pharmaceutical companies? Can that person take the oath and have no personal agenda that will interfere with security and prosperity and progress of this country? If so, then bring on the purple candidate.

Please tell me (as I suspect) that you're not old enough to vote. It is just that sophomoric mentality this country doesn't need in the ballot box. Who cares if it's the first XXX president? Is he/she qualified? If your first consideration in choosing a candidate is race, gender, religious affiliation or if they wear white after Labor Day.......do your country a favor and stay home on election day.

Well, here's a thought... why don't we look at something that matters... like what they stand for and want for the nation. Does it really matter what the president looks like?

As long as that person is a conservative, it doesn't matter. Conservatives generally don't care if a person is black, hispanic, or a female, as long as they will do a competent job.
