Problem with my new Web-cam amd Yahoo Messenger.?

I have just invested in a webcam - to try to save a little bit of money on these expensive phonecalls (I am from GB, my wife is from the Philippines, and we live here in Germany. My sister lives in France and I still call some friends in US). That makes for lots of international calls on expensive phones. Now we have a webcam, I thought that life would be easier, but the cam only works on ICQ and MSN Messenger. As soon as I try to invite a friend or relative to 'view the webcam' on Yahoo Messenger, it freezes and I have to reboot the computer to get anything to work. Does anyone have any simple, not too technical advice please. Don't waste my time with answers like 'No, but thanks for the 2 points', coz thats not playing Answers fairly and I will pass on those answers to the guys being paid to monitor. OKAY!

Um could be driver issues

First i would update your Video drivers (as newer versions are more stable)

Then uninstall your webcam drivers and re-install them again..

You could even try un-installing YM (don't worry you don't lose your friends as thats on Yahoo servers), and download an install a newer version

Also try putting the Cam in a different USB port....

It could be something simple as a driver conflict

examine your settings open messenger > messenger >possibilities > connection > go with 'no proxies', make constructive your information superhighway connection is ideal and your united states of america > be conscious > ok that would want to do it - satisfied viewing !! make constructive the sender has given you permission to view they ought to allow you open messenger > messenger > possibilities >webcam > go with their favored ideas and with somewhat of success upload you to the list !!
