you have to add the http:// part

Type in the complete address, including the http:// part (important), and the Yahoo system automatically turns it into a link. BUT it's not smart enough to remove any punctuation, so either put the link on a line by itself or make sure you have a space before and after it (ie, put a space between the address and any comma, period, etc that follows).
