I am glad to say that Netto is my favourite shop, Tesco and Asda have some advantages, but not the fun of Nettos (or Aldi), and they can't beat Netto (or Aldi) on price. The great thing about Netto and Aldi is their special purchases, their spot-lines, every week these are different. I occasionally shop in Tesco, and quite often in Asda, these shops have far more veriety than Nettos, or Aldi, but honestly for the things available in Nettos, Tesco, and Asda can't beat the price. During Asda's price match, I saved pounds by matching their prices with Nettos.
Sorry you won't like this answer, it is the fun of Nettos which makes it my favourite shop, and they also have a cast iron guarantee, if you get it home and decide you don't want it, you can bring it back, and if it fails within the year you can bring it back for a full return of your money.
Just go to www.netto.co.uk to see the latest bargains.
Oh and I better tell you I love myself, I don't hate myself.
How can people who don't shop at Nettos or Aldi know anything about these shops?

I shop at Aldi. I find some of the things good value. If I go to Asda I choose the white label stuff. Money is tight for my family at the moment and we cant afford luxuries (I have this laptop for my work) Aldi supplies basic food. Its a good shop and NOT just for Chavs etc

Actually they do work out cheaper. Because the stuff is very basic, you dont waste a fortune on the 'bargains' and stuff you usually fill your trolley with at tesco. You just get what you want. Its even more economical if you make a list and stick to it.
For example - cheap minced beef at tesco is full of fat and disgusting. At aldi they do a bag big enough for a bolognese and a shepherds pie for 4 people, for £1.70, and when your blokes been off sick for nearly a year, thats not to be sniffed at.
Huzzah for your dad, thats what i say.

What are you talking about? We have Aldi stores here (don't know Netto) and they are USUALLY cheaper on main things like cereal, bread, canned goods. If you aren't picky about brand names (my family is NOT) you can save quite a bit at this type of store. There are always some things that you will find cheaper at Wal-Mart or whatever. Just like all stores --

I've never been to either of them. But I will tell you that you need to stop judging people who shop at those places. You wouldn't want to have to learn the hard way by ending up in a position where you'd have to shop there would you? Watch what you say.
