I have a suit, which I really like the cut of the jacket, but can't stand the fact the pants are pleated. I've been told it would be impossible to have pants tailored that would match the jacket due to material. Anyone know if it's possible to remove pleats from pants?

Being a designer myself, is it hard but not impossible. To make pleated pants, more fabric is used since the fabric needs to be folded in order to make the pleats. It's not totally impossible, but I would ask the tailor first to how much work it would take and if it would change the pants.

You must take out the stiching on the waistband and make a dart or two to take up the slack where the pleats were...I've done it to several pants and skirts. If there is too much stitching, take it to an old fashioned tailor and they'll do it for you.

Go with flat. Pleasted is very outdated. Unless you have a butt, which most guys have a pretty flat behind, the flat front works just fine. Pleats are better for you if you will have your jacket buttoned and are wide in the hips/rear.
