I'm 18 and in university... during the week i'm hella busy.. so im looking for a job that I can do on the weekends... here's my situation: I'm fairly well off (my parents bought me a house+ a car and they gave me like 2000$ cash)... but I want more to life, and I dont think 2000$ is going to last me long. I have no work experience so i'll basically take any job that pays me like 8$ or more. So..... how do i get a job, I dont know ANYBODY in this town (im new) do i just walk into a store and ask them for a job? Do I have to have a resume? How do i get paid?

Whatever money i make I plan to gamble @ high stakes poker... I played No limit hold em and made like 6 grand in less than a week, but i took a really bad swing and lost like 4000$ and The quickest way to rebuild a bankroll is to get a legitimate job. that's why i wanna work, I have nothing better to do anyways. The extra cash would help a lot.

Yes, you walk in, ask for an application form, and ask for people's names and smile as you give it back.

A resume? You can attach one to the application if you like. Ask your teachers from school if they'll be references.

um, gambling is about the worst thing you can do in your situation.

edit: I think the mention of gambling is why you got the all the spam responses. Don't talk about your vices to people if you're serious about getting a job. Talk about your good points instead.

You need a few working brain cells and some common sense before you go around looking for a job.
