Unbelievable, isn't it! Anti-Semitism is still around! Some people still believe that the Jews control the finances of Britain and America. That's an old chestnut from over a thousand years ago.
I suppose they thing Richard Branson is a Jew! And David Beckham has millions. Must be a Jew. And Roman Abramovich. HAS to be Jewish! And Sir Alan Sugar! Oh, sorry! He is a Jew! I know a couple of taxi drivers in London who say "we should be so lucky". I suppose anti-semitism has been around so long it's almost a part of who we are. Or is it that we have a deep need to have someone to look down on, or use as a scapegoat.
Sorry folks, Jews do not control the BBC! There is no Jewish Conspiracy. There are good Jews, bad Jews, rich Jews and poor Jews, and everything in between. People like us!
The only Jews I really knew were a dear old couple, complete with their Yiddish accents, living in Kensal Rise in London. They are gone now. He was an upholsterer, and she helped him in his one man business. Nice, gentle people whom I will always remember fondly.

Since when have Jews had a lot of control over anyone? The Jews have been persecuted since before the days of Moses, centuries ago. Get off the Jews' case already!
P.S. - I am a Christian, and not Jewish.

Jews and a handful of other groups have a culture in which they work harder than the general population and are by and large liberal in sympathy with the downtrodden due to millenia of their own persecution. What that adds up to is that some of them go into the largely liberal field of journalism, work hard and succeed well. But anti-Semites control most of the world, including journalism, and I suppose that will make you happy.
