i am playing zelda windwaker for gamecube....?

i am at the forsaken fortress near the end of the area. there is a large break in the path and i have to sidle across the narrow ledge. whenever i push the A button to sidle, he just turns around! help is greatly appreciated!!!

Good. Hold down that 'A' button and move the control stick left or right.

You have to hold down the A button while moving.
