The romanticized version of a "turning into a bat, sunlight will kill them, a stake through the heart etc..." is a little far fetched, but....

There are people who are allergic to the sun.

and a stake through the heart would put an end to practically anything.

There are vampire bats who drink the blood of animals.

There are cannibals.

Back in the day many believed that if they ate the heart of their enemy, they would gain their enemies power.

Many serial killers ate the flesh of their victims and drank their blood.

ever known someone who just drains the energy from you just by being in the same room?

All of these are forms of vampirism.

still don't believe?

Believing in vampires makes more sense than believing in god!

and as far as werewolves go....

Not really. There are humans that like the taste of blood. Some people like the mysterious idea of looking as much as they can like a vampire in order to be called a vampire. Most of them has severe mental problems. I haven't seen anyone get bit by a human and turned into a bat or a vampire yet. But maybe we have less people now that want to grow up to be a vampire since a lot of the blood is tainted with HIV.

Our spirit has the ability to assume any number of forms. I
imagine it could be a werewolf or vampire if it wanted.
Werewolves are typically people who practice magick, and can change into a wolf form.
Vampires are more an entity that practiced dark magick but no longer resides in our world. They drain the lifeforce from humans to maintain their existence. As they fear punishment in Heaven, and don't want to fall into the Abyss!

Not in the way most people think. There are people who are sensitive to sunlight, & there are people who are sensitive to full moons.
