It does for most people. I use it and it works for me, but for it to work you have to get the right kind based on what type of skin you have (dry, oily, etc...) BUT if you do start using it..don't try to go without it for longer than three days, lol...but I love it =)

I have heard it doesn't work for alot of people. I have a friend who tried using it and her skin didn't clear up. Then she tried the acne line called Clear Advantage. She no longer wears foundation because it has cleared her skin up and looks great. It is not any more expensive that proactive either. You should give it a try and if you really like it, I can tell you how to get a great deal on it!!

Not being rude to you, but people need to start looking at previously asked questions before they waste their 5 points to ask a question that is asked almost 10 times daily.
As I've said before...I tried ProActiv...it showed no results. The only thing that worked was the refining mask. AcneFree from Wal-Mart is the best! It's $20 and says you'll see results in three days, I saw results in two! It's kept my skin very clear.

DON'T BUY IT!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! You will be wasting your money! I am devoted to keeping people from buying this stupid prodcut:
Why to BUY: NO REASONS AT ALL!
Why NOT to BUY: MANY REASONS!
it works in the beginning for maybe 5-6 months, AFTER it takes 4-5 months to START working- almost a year has passed.....then all your pimples start to come back and you wonder what is wrong with you face- NOTHING! It's the stupid product......Once you start using it, you will habe to use it for the rest of your life for it to keep working....
When I used to use it, I went to a sleepover and didn't think of it as a big deal if I didn't use the product for ONE day....bad idea!!! my face had 7 huge pimpel the next day!! HUMONGOUS! at a sleepover- even more embarassing!! it sucked!! i've stopped using it now and thank god i did- i had wasted almost $200+ on that stupid product....i now use Mary Kay's Velocity cleanser, Clarifying Mask, Blemish Control toner, Acne Treatment Gel, and the Oil Control Lotion- works wonders!! it's for male and females!!!
Don'y buy proactiv!
good luck!!

its a good product. it works well with getting rid of acne. but the ingredients are pretty much the same as in other acne products. In studies of these, proactive worked just the same and had the same results as the other brands. you might as well just get a cheaper product than proactive, which can be expensive. I recommend Clearasil. It works very well, and you don't have to pay too much for it! i hope i helped!

It's not worth ur money at all. Save it and buy something that actually works. Just because jessica simpson says it works doesnt mean its going to work for ur serious acne problem. if u pay attention to the commercial she only have like 3 zits!!!! it's a big waste.

I did not use proactive but I did use a product called exposed which is rated to work much better by consumers. It really worked for me when nothing else does.

It does work, but u have to be persistant and continuous with it. I have a friend who used it and it worked miraculously, but then she stopped because she thought her acne problem was solved. Soon l8er, the acne returned and she had the problem again. If u are gonna use it, u have to make sure u use it continually w/out breaks because the acne will return. Good luck!!!!!

It did not work for my son... he ended up using "Nature's Cure" - I know it's a lame name, but it really worked for him (honest!). You should check it out and give it a chance. Although a lot of people have had success with Pro-active, it made his skin break out even more.
