As a currency/coin collector, I can tell you that a '76 two is unfortunately still only worth two dollars. The vast majority of two dollar bills in circulation today are Series 1976, 1995, and 2003; twos are available at most major banks upon request, so getting a '76 is not difficult.
However, your bill may be worth something to a currency dealer if:
-there is a star at the end of the serial number ("star-note")
-there is a postage stamp on the bill (to celebrate the re-debut of the Two in 1976, the U.S. Postal Service stamped bills people obtained only on the first day of release)
Otherwise, it's just a normal bill, so either save it for the future or spend it and make some cashier's day :-)

Yeah, they arent that rare. They reissued them during the bicentennial 1976 with the signing of the declaration of independence on the back. The problem with circulation is most cash registers only have 4 spots for bills, 1s, 5s, 10, and 20s. They dont really have a spot to put a $2 bill so a lot of time they are either given away as change again right away or go straight to the bank. Same problem with the dollar coin. Not enough coin trays so businesses dont like to have them around.

It's not really worth anything but what it says in each corner of the buck. 2 DOLLARS! A two dollar bill isn't that valuable anymore, it will probably be gone in a century or so, so I guess you CAN keep on to it if you think it is valuble.

if $2 are rare know a days...then just see how many years it is apart from those and times it by two that would be my best guess of how much it would be, my advise is to keep it for as long as you can! ( 31yrs x $2= $62 ) would be my guess.

Really, they are not as valuable as they might appear - yes, they didn't print many but they are not circulated much either.
Read this article in wikipedia.
Sell them on ebay!
