I usually don't get nauseas, but I feel sooo sick right now. Is that a symptom of being on my period, or is it something else? Blahhh.

I think I may have fever too. But I have no way to check. I'm at work.

Yes, it's normal to feel nausea before and during your period. It could also be a symptom of something you ate that disagreed with you. And some people feel sick when they are coming down with a cold or the flu. I wouldn't worry about it. If it lasts for a week or two after your period ends, you might want to see your Doctor. Now here's something that will stop the nausea dead in its tracks! Buy an anti-nausea over the counter liquid called "Emetrol". It is safe (it's a combination of some simple sugars) and won't interfere with any meds you're on. And it tastes good! You can take 1 or 2 tsp. every 15 minutes until the nausea subsides but with me, it usually works after only 1 dose. Hope this helps.

Yes, it can be normal but you may also be coming down with something else on top of it. Nausea is often associated with periods. If you are young and it doesn't clear up in a day or so, go and see your doctor. If you are peri-menopausal then you should see your doctor too. Hormone changes cause all sorts of things to happen in our bodies and only a qualified doctor can advise you properly. Don't wait in pain - go get the facts that will help you keep healthy and happy.

Good luck and good health!

Yes--some women just happen to have very severe physical PMS symptoms.
