if someone wanted to be a psychologist at a mental hospital what kind of degree do you need?

To be a Psychologist in any related field you are generally required to have a PhD in Psychology. You can work in a mental hospital under someone else with either a Bachelors, or a Masters in Psychology.

You would need a PhD or a PsyD, if you were a Psychiatrist you would need a MD.
