Go the Van Gough, Rijks, and a sex museum. Be sure to stop off at a coffeshop or two...Bluebird and Dampkrig are the best. Visit this church called Our Lord in The Attic. Definately go to the Heineken Brewery..you get a tour and 3 free beers! The Hortus Botanicus is neat too..they have several different areas..Take a canal ride and be sure to peruise the Red Light..you'll see some interesting ladies..Oh and you cant forget the Anne Frank house!
Cannibas College...Absinthe Bar..but it has strange hours, buts its neat. Oh and a sex show..i suggest the banana bar! they do some crazy stuff there...

well done Toolrrl0 .couldn't describe it better .Oh yes,not to forget the Koninklijk Paleis (The king's Residence:) ).Nice place to walk,relax and just be you.
And not to forget Amsterdam's best and biggest Market ,the Albert cuip Markt.Have a fresh fruit ,or a peace of cheese,while you strolling,may be find silk scarf at one of the many stands and the merchants love to bargain.
Just do it and you 'll find out,everything is easy going !!The market is by the way next to the Heineken Brewery.

Go to De Balie (Leidseplein). Good cafe's are De Jaren, cafe Zwart, De ijsbreker. Eat erwtensoep when it is available fresh. Avoid the restaurants near Central Station, because they are bad and expensive. Go to de Utrechtsestraat for restaurants. Al so a very good store for classical music called Concerto.
And go to Artis de zoo.
It is better to rent a small boat for the canals. Much more fun. There is a place near the Amstel Hotel.
Don't hire a bike when you are not used to it:)

Have a walk along the red lights,go to a show real sex,have a drink of genuine heinekin beer go on a canal boat look at ann frank house have a smoke it is legal i believe and enjoy amsterdam.I forgot to mention buy a street map.5 euro.

Don't get stoned. Visit the Anne Frank museum and go on a canal boat ride. That's all I can remember of the place. Drugs are bad.

well helen if you were a guy i would def say go window shopping but you are a ladty so why not visit the tulip area,s
